Right now, Minecraft Realms only allows a small number of active players at once — which limits how big and active a Realm community can become. In 2025, multiplayer gaming is built around collaboration, creativity, and social connection, and the current cap just doesn’t reflect that reality anymore.
Increasing the player limit would make Realms much more valuable and enjoyable. It would let friends, families, and creative groups all play together without constantly worrying about who has to leave so someone else can join. Bigger Realms would lead to more consistent worlds, more player retention, and stronger communities overall.
This wouldn’t just benefit players — it could benefit Mojang too. Adding new Realms tiers (for example, 10-player, 20-player, and 50-player plans) would give people options based on their needs while creating new ways for Mojang to grow Realms revenue without pushing players to third-party hosts.
Players aren’t asking for Realms to become massive public servers — just for the ability to keep their private communities alive and growing within the official Minecraft ecosystem. Expanding the player cap would make Realms a truly modern multiplayer experience while keeping everything simple, safe, and official.
