Option to stop sliding when flying

I hate it when I try to stop flying, but I keep gliding for ~5 seconds. This isn't nice for building, redstone, or really any time I need to place a block in creative mode. I'd like there to be a toggle, something like 'Drift when flying", so you can choose between the classic Java drifting and the Bedrock stopping.
