When a Copper Golem isn’t currently organizing items, it constantly opens nearby copper chests because it wants something to do. While that’s a fun detail at first, it could get annoying over time—especially if you have multiple golems in the same area.
Idea 1: Golem Hides in the Chest
What if, when the Copper Golem has nothing to organize, it crawls inside its copper chest to rest? You’d know it's inside because the chest would stay slightly open, with the golem’s eyes peeking out. Maybe it could even be taking a little nap!
When you’re ready to give it a task, the golem would crawl or jump out of the chest, and the chest’s inventory screen would automatically open once he’s fully out. Then he gets right back to organizing!
Idea 2: Golem Relaxation Bin
Alternatively, when the Copper Golem has no tasks, it could jump into a small “relaxation bin” to regenerate and rest. While inside, everything below his eyes would be hidden inside the bin—you’d only see the bin, his eyes peeking out, and his little antenna sticking up. It’s a cute and subtle way to show that he’s resting without being in the way.
When you place new items into a chest, he senses the activity, jumps out of the bin, and gets to work right away. This version would prevent you from having to wait for the golem to get out before the chest interface appears—he wakes up and starts organizing as soon as something new shows up.
