I personally like the idea of an underwater mount - as someone who's played a lot of Mo'Creatures, I have fond memories of exploring the ocean with an animal friend in Minecraft. As someone who's played a lot of Mo'Creatures, I also have strong opinions on accuracy to real-life animals.
Everything about the MC nautilus in its reveal is just an ammonite. I would make a nice bulleted list to explain why, but then this post would get taken down by the bots, so here's a messy paragraph instead. The MC nautilus is big enough to ride, has a clear spiral on its shell, (hopefully) has good pathfinding, and has orange meat. Nautili in real life are about the size of a person's head as an adult, have a medieval-knight-like visor covering their tentacles and the center of the shell spiral, can barely see and are always bumping into things, and are a dead white color with orange stripes. Ammonites, on the other hand, grew bigger than the average person and have very distinct spiral shells. Nobody knows what color they were or how good their vision was.
I propose either changing the name of the new mob to "Ammonite", accurately representing the real-world nautilus and being fairly faithful to ammonite fossils, or at least changing the model/texture of the "Nautilus" so it's more like the real animal. I prefer the first option myself, since it's actually representing the animal and not making things up / spreading misconceptions about it.
Thanks for your time.
