The drop rate of jungle tree's saplings is currently far to low to consistently get enough saplings to replenish Jungle trees.
currently, when jungle tree leaves decay, or are broken by the player, they have a 2.5% chance to drop a sapling, this number is half that of other species of trees.
due to the very low drop change of jungle saplings, many players are not able to consistently grow jungle trees as they are able to with other tree types, often being left with only 3 out of the four saplings needed to make a large jungle tree.
To solve this issue, i suggest that the drop rate of Jungle Saplings from Jungle Tree Leaves be increased from 2.5% chance, up to the standard 5% chance used by most other tree types.
this change would most likely allow players to consistently replant jungle trees that they have chopped down.
I believe that the lower drop change of Jungle Saplings is not intentionally lower than is required to replant, because another species of tree that can be grown large with 4 saplings, the Spruce Tree, has leaves with the standard 5% chance to drop spruce saplings.
I, and many other players who enjoy the jungle biome and its wood, hope that Mojang will consider making this change in the future.
