Copper doors and trapdoors must be activated by redstone.

Copper doors and trapdoors without oxidation should be opened by hand (as they are in the game), while exposed versions should be opened with a level 5 redstone signal, weathered versions should be opened with a level 10 redstone signal, and oxidized versions should be opened with a level 15 redstone signal.

    copper doors have four total stages of oxidation
    redstone signal strength needs to be higher to open the more oxidized they are making them similar to iron doors but still technically possible to open.
    so they get harder to open when its oxidized but maybe using wax could make it permanently able to be opened by hand, so if you're traped you could escape by getting wax.
