Experience levels

I did not know how to communicate this, so I posted it here.  I am playing the Java version of the Minecraft game.  What is the highest level of experience a player has had.  I am currently at experience level 126.  I wondered where I stood with other users?  Behind, in the middle of the pack or leading the pack?

On another topic.  I think every time you kill a bat you should get one experience point.  they are a great distraction!

    I think the maximum is a multiple of a 32 bit integer. But i could be wrong. right now i have about 200 levels.
