We desperately need a food and farming update in minecraft. It feels like everywhere else has gotten an update, caves, biomes, tools, redstone, the nether, the ocean, villages, and more. But barely anything has been done about farming and foods. Sure we've gotten some berries, but those are neither very useful (unless you're building), or very creative to be completely honest. Yeah the glow berries look cool and I do like them, but more could have been done with them, same with regular berries. I think they could have at least added berry pie, we have pumpkin pie, why not berry pie. And maybe a glow berry pie could give a cool effect.
I am biased because my favorite part of Minecraft is the farming and making foods and I wish there was more to do with it. The redstoners got new cool stuff, PVPers got new cool stuff, builders have a bunch of new blocks, but foods and farming have barely been touched. It would be so nice to have some new animals surrounding this too. Like crows, they could steal crops unless there's scarecrow nearby, and maybe if we give them enough treats and shiny things, like iron or golden nuggets we could befriend them.
