Here are some enchantments that I think are suitable for spears.
- Whisper (3 level): Increases spear attack speed. Since the higher the tier, the slower it is to use, this enchantment will be useful.
- Rocking (1 level): Chance to spam attacks for a few seconds that end with a critical hit, it can be combined with damage from the mount's speed. The player must quickly hold the use button to spam when it triggers. This is a rare enchantment that can only be found from chests or ominous/vaults. This enchantment is inspired by MC Dungeons Rapier and a mythological spear, but I see it as a good fit for Minecraft considering the trident with Channeling.
- Stinger (1 level / tiered?): Allows a spear to hit entities at greater distances with some other targets behind it (if any), a bit similar to Piercing enchantment. I'm thinking of this assuming I can catch multiple fish/animals.
- Endure (4 level): Gains 50% protection when attacked for a few seconds. Endure is essentially "you're trying to deflect attacks while injured", so it will trigger after taking hits. I only set it to 50% protection to maintain the armor's functionality.
- Javelin (1 level): Allows spears to be thrown. This enchantment will likely be rejected as it replaces the function of a trident, but many people want it.
And several existing enchantments that are suitable for spears, such as Unbreaking, Sharpness, Mending, Sweeping Edge, (and Curses).
