Currently, Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC has a GUI scale minimum of -1, while Mobile players can use -2. Many players on PC would like the option to make their HUD and menus smaller, especially those using large or high-resolution monitors.
There is no technical limitation, the -2 option already exists in the game and works perfectly on Mobile. Restricting PC players to -1 feels inconsistent and unnecessarily limiting.
If a player finds -2 too small to read, they can easily switch back to -1 or 0. This is the same principle Java Edition uses, where players can freely choose extremely small GUI scales without issue.
Adding -2 for all Bedrock platforms would:
-
Give players more customization and accessibility.
-
Make gameplay feel less cluttered on high-res screens.
-
Make crafting and inventory management faster since the mouse doesn’t need to move as far.
-
Keep balance with Java Edition, which already allows much smaller GUI scales.
This option wouldn’t harm accessibility because players can still set GUI scale back to -1, 0, or higher if they prefer. It just adds more freedom of choice.
