Enchantable Mount Armor for both the New Nautilus and Horse

Let us Enchant Our Mounts!

1. In my opinion horses are not strong enough for combat even with max hearts and Diamond armor I believe they should have a much needed boost of Enchantable armor.

2. With the upcoming game drop mounts of mayhem this is the perfect opportunity to add this addition to not only Horses but the New Nautilus as well. Being able to put Protection on your Horse or Nautilus Armor would be a fantastic feature for this game drop.

3. Another simple addition that would be amazing is letting us upgrade diamond horse armor to Netherite now that the Nautilus can have Netherite Armor I feel it’s only fair for the horse to have it too! These features can give the player a fighting chance against some of the new dangers of both the oceans and the plains with the new zombie horse spawns and zombie nautilus or possibly they could take advantage of the enchantable mount armor as well for a even more dangerous challenge.

4. My Last Reasoning for enchanting mount armor is PvP, with the new spear as seen in Minecraft live horse and spear combat will become a reality and I truly believe horses and nautiluses may need all the help they can get in a dangerous land scape and enchantable armor for more protection is just what they need!     I think protection enchantments should be 2.5x as effective maxing out at 40% damage reduction for protection and 80% for the other types. It would also give an actual reason to use one of the other types of protection on a horse.

    yes, yes yes, horses need a lot more protection, especially because how insanely hard is to get generally good horse by combinaiton of insane luck and breeding efforts, most players dont even bother with this, random arrows and creepers exploding can easily kill horse with even decent max health, creepers 1-shot horses on hard difficulty

    we want option to upgrade diamond horse armor into netherite, it is tier of armor we are missing, except chainmail one (which could be cool collectible from villages or making it exclusively from zombie/skeleton horse riders, that is unrelated anyway), netherite horse armor tier is first thing they should had announced/shown wile talking/showing how horses may be used with spears, it makes sense for gear progression, it would be fully optional thing, you can be equipped in netherite, but your horse cant, thus you cant match your styles

    enchanting horse armor would be great too, only enchantments I would let to be put on them are protection ones (mutually exclusive as they should be) and maybe stuff as thorns, feather falling, depth strider but not frost walker (because whole thing with "boat is for this" thing), since it is single piece, efficiency of such enchantment would be reduced, maybe saddles could be enchanted as well with protection or as suggested below, horse armor having protection bonuses more powerful
