Ability to turn off end flashes

Hi there, I would love to be able to turn end flashes off. As I'm sure many others did, I made a farm using the end portal as a blast chamber, so I need to be in the end a lot. It would be nice to be able to remove the flashes and use some resource packs to make the environment more cozy. The farm is big enough that I would prefer not to build a ton of stuff around it.

Love the game and the new upcoming features by the way, and the flashes are cool in the usual setting of the end.

    good idea. this should be located in video settings as a toggle default: true.

    I support this idea, ever since i moved to play on version 1.21.10 , i dont want to visit the end dimension, flashes are just too much both for gameplay and my interpretation of end dimention being dark void. There has to be a an option to turn them off, both the flash and the lighting of the terrain.

    Hi there. I already contacted Mojang about this. Because i have epilepsy and had a seizure in the end because of the end flashes. They didnt say anything about deactivating it complete. Just that they are going to take a look into it. I want to deactivate them too.

    Hello, I also had a seizure as a result of end flashes last night, just like another user mentioned last month. I was completely blindsided by the introduction of the End Flashes. I was in the End flattening an end island for a shulker farm when the End Flashes triggered my Epilepsy, causing a seizure. I notice in the Accessibility Settings there's an option to "Hide Sky Flashes", but this disables Lightning Bolts as well. Storms are rare enough that the Lightning Bolts don't trigger me, but the End Flashes are extremely triggering given how frequent they are.

    I strongly agree that an in-game toggle should be introduced, which completely disables the three elements that make up this feature:

    • The sound of the flashes
    • The visible flash in the sky
    • The lighting effect that applies to the world / blocks with every flash

    Effectively, it should be possible to revert The End's sky to what it was in 1.21.8

    For further context, The End was once a barren, yet tranquil place. Vast and peaceful. Quiet. Still.
    It had a dignity to its aesthetic, which the End Flashes have completely shattered.

    Where one The End was serene, it is now grating and aggravating, the longer you inhabit the dimension. I would be VERY grateful if this feature could be reconsidered soon.

    From a quick wiki search, it seems that End Flashes are able to be turned off on Bedrock Edition, but for Java Edition, i can't find that the option exists. Adding a way to turn them off on Java Edition is only fair and makes sense. Please consider this.
