(New Biome) Wither Biome

Imagine you’re walking normally in your Minecraft world, and suddenly you come across a strange place: dead trees, black grass, black spores everywhere, and giant Wither fossils scattered around. A truly "dead" place — yet full of life!

    Minecraft has a hidden history, and in one of its eras, humans summoned Withers in massive numbers. Out of control, they destroyed the Overworld, forcing the survivors to hide in caves and create the Ancient Cities and Strongholds. At that time, countless Withers existed — and even giant versions of them.

     

    This past could be reflected in a new biome: the Wither Biome, a gray, infected area with black particles, an ash-covered sky, and a horizon that is hard to see. The grass of the biome would be black, reinforcing the dark and dead atmosphere of the place.

     

    The ground would feature Wither flowers and “dead” black saplings. Fossils of giant Withers would be scattered all over. These fossils are made of a new block: Wither Bone, similar to Bone Block but black. Wither Skeletons could drop this bone in addition to coal. The biome would be flat, filled with craters from explosions, usually appearing in plains, near oak forests, or at the base of mountains.

    The highlight of the biome would be the Wither Trees: black trunks with branch-like forks and no leaves, resembling dry, lifeless trees. At the tip of these branches, there would be a sapling with the appearance of a dead twig, which you could collect and replant. Despite their dead-like appearance, these trees are alive and adapted to the hostile environment. Wither Wood would be a brand-new type of black wood — perfect for gothic-style builds and offering fresh aesthetic possibilities in Minecraft.

    The “Wither Cemetery” would not be a large biome, but a striking one: without mobs, dark, and with a unique atmosphere, representing the scar left behind by the Withers’ destruction in the past.
