You could copy the contents of a book to a book and quill using a crafting table, which is very nice. But, there is a catch. Only the signed book could be used and not an already written book and quill to another empty book and quill.
That could be a problem for those who write diaries everyday in their survival worlds like me. What if you press Q while facing the cacti and have a book and quill containing a diary of what happened on your world, or you died either by swimming in lava or fallen to the void with the diary in your inventory? Tens or hundreds of days you chronicled is erased, as if they never happened in the first place.
Turns out you could copy and paste contents of an already written, but not signed book and quill, using CTRL+C and CTRL+V, BUT it only works on Java edition, which leaves Bedrock diary writers out in the dark.
That is the motivation on why I wrote this idea, which is that I wish there is a way to directly copy every contents of a written but unsigned book and quill to another empty book and quill. Any way such as an already existing block called lectern or an entirely new block such as a book copier or something. That feature should work both on Bedrock and Java, and will lessen the effort to make a backup of your diary.
