Not enough destruction in a sandbox game.

I want to have fun in my sandbox world, I want to see the impact, and I want to collect all the blocks from my destruction. I have trouble collecting Gunpowder because I don't use automatic mob farms. I suggest other sources of tnt or gunpowder. If tnt had a larger blast or if I just had more of it I could shape the world I want but right now I feel limited. Too limited when I've been playing with minecraft tnt for 13 years and nothing has changed. When the world was small tnt packed a big a punch, now it doesn't dent a rock. So many suggestions could be repeated here but instead I ask simply for more destruction
