According to Minecraft’s GDPR policy, Java Edition accounts purchased after August 2022 should be automatically deleted when the linked Microsoft account is deleted. However, in practice this does not seem to be implemented correctly.
Currently, if you delete your Microsoft account, the Minecraft Java Edition profile (UUID and username) still exists, even though you can no longer log in. This creates a discrepancy between the GDPR statement and the actual behavior.
Mojang has officially stated that they are aware of this lack of synchronization, but it has not been implemented for almost 3 years.
I suggest that Mojang/Microsoft synchronize Minecraft account deletion with Microsoft account deletion events. This would ensure consistency, respect user privacy choices, and comply with GDPR requirements.
