Normal Rails: Change how they "switch" upon reciving a redstone signal. The problem is now they just "flip" its preferred orientation. Which means in every other direction, the redstone must be built differently.
I would love to see, the unpowered state to be how it was orginally was. And being able to right click on the rails when it is reciving redstone signal to change the powered state. -
Add Copper rails: Always have you on a fixed speed, and it is the blocks per second that you are already going at. Minecarts will not accelerate or decelerate on this rail, and we already see this in Furance Minecarts, which are still useful to transport dangerous mobs without powered rails.
-
Change Power Rails: Ignore and no longer have acceleration, instead it sets your speed to X blocks per second instantly, X being how many ACTIVE powered rails are connected.
Since the current max speed of minecarts are 8, if the connected rails are below 8 rails it should set your speed to function/achieve same result as before to potentially not break any older builds. And they still do not turn/curve, also stop minecart when it is unpowered. -
Remove speed cap: With the new system, insane high speed is only achievable through high-effort setups, such as a long powered rails or normal rails coming from a high place.
And unlike the experimental datapack, a simple loop no longer get you light speed. - Enable experimental minecart physics changes. It is really fun.
