Minecraft already has weather, but it doesn’t change gameplay much beyond visuals. What if mobs and the environment reacted more dynamically to different weather?
-
Thunderstorm Variants: Zombies or skeletons caught in thunderstorms could “charge up,” giving them glowing effects and new abilities (like faster movement or chain lightning arrows).
-
Rain-Creatures: Passive mobs like frogs or new “rain bugs” could spawn only during rain, making the world feel more alive.
-
Snowy Survival: In snow biomes, players could risk freezing if they stay outside too long without shelter, campfires, or warm gear (new item type).
-
Wind Gusts: Rare storm events could push entities slightly, making Elytra flying more dynamic and boat travel more exciting.
This would make weather more than just a backdrop—it becomes a part of survival strategy and exploration.
