I like the Warden, it's a fantastic monster that I usually never want to be anywhere near. I like the Deep Dark, I want a few more reasons to go visit. Maybe I could consider living in the Ancient City, if I could grow Skullkaps there.
In our world, skullcaps are a minty, flowering bush. The Skullkaps are a Player Spawned tree structure, appearing where a Player places Soul Soil on a Skulk Catalyst. It should be a large, 3x3 cube of bushy, flowering shrubbery. The Warden, when summoned, should sniff toward these nearby plants, stopping and smiling when found. The Flowers are separate, rectangular, vaguely head sized. The Flowers can be sheared, and when crafted into an instrument, can create "a sound" that the Warden enjoys enough to forget aggro for a while. I can't decide between a Soothing Bell or a Shrieking Flute.
For all this, I want for the Warden to prioritize attacking Phantoms. Likewise, if a Skullkap Flower exists in a world, Phantoms won't spawn above Players, instead appearing close enough to pick Flowers. I'm curious which would win - the Warden protecting their favorite plant, or the Phantom, stealing the Flowers?
