I have an underground base in Bedrock Edition and I have a really big storage system with over 200 chests and lots of item frames. The problem is that my game lags a lot when I’m around my base, and the FPS drops really badly. I'm pretty sure a lot of other consistent players have this problem.
I think the main reason is because chests and item frames act like entities. Would it be possible to optimize them so they work more like “interactable blocks” instead of things the game has to treat like entities constantly? For example, a chest doesn’t really move, so maybe it could just be handled like a block until I open it. Same for item frames, maybe they could just show the item as a texture and only update when I actually change what’s inside, although that one might be too much to ask, I still think chests are optimizable.
