Potatoes and carrots.

I feel like potatoes and carrots are such a cool item/food source yet the only ways to find them is by chests, villages, and zombies and none of these feel proper. Could we perhaps have it so destroying grass has a low chance of dropping potatoes or carrots or even better, carrots and potatoes fully grown into the grass naturally occurring. It just seems odd to me there's no real agricultural way to get these early game food sources.
