It has been stated that dyeable wood will not be Minecraft feature in the near future. However the wood colour gaps are being filled by different wood types. Although we have gotten many new wood types some colours are still missing from the palette. Here my wood type suggestions:
Verawood: A real-life tropical wood type fitting perfectly the jingle biome. Its log has a brownish green shade, but when stripped or crafted into planks it wold have a lighter, minty shade. Its leaves would have a yellowish lime shade.
Grey Elm: A real-life grey wood type. Its log is similar to acacia's but when crafted into planks its grey colour would remain. I think it perfectly fits the Pale forest biome.
Acacia Blackwood: Inspired by real-life Blackwood acacia. It has a dark grey log colour but when stripped or crafted into planks it would have the darkets wood colour in Minecraft. It would be found in Savannah biome but it would be rarer than acacia.
Violetwood: Inspired by real-life Brazilian kingwood it would have dark purplish brown log, but its planks and stripped version would have a unique pinkish purple shade. It would be the rarest would type in the jungle biome.
