Dear Mojang Team,
First of all, thank you for your continued dedication to Minecraft and the incredible experiences you've made possible across platforms. The Bedrock Edition has come a long way, and it's amazing to see how accessible and performant it has become for players around the world.
As a passionate member of the Minecraft community, I’d like to kindly suggest considering native plugin support for Bedrock Edition—similar to what Java Edition offers through platforms like Bukkit or Spigot. While Bedrock’s Addon system and scripting API are powerful, they currently lack the flexibility and depth that plugins provide in Java, especially for server customization, gameplay mechanics, and community-driven features.
Introducing plugin support in Bedrock could:
- Empower server owners with more control and creativity
- Encourage a new wave of developers to build for Bedrock
- Bridge the gap between Java and Bedrock communities
- Make multiplayer experiences even richer and more dynamic
Of course, I understand the technical and design challenges involved, and I deeply respect the thoughtful decisions you make to keep Minecraft stable and inclusive. This suggestion comes from a place of admiration and hope—hoping that Bedrock can one day offer the same plugin possibilities that have helped Java thrive for so many years.
Thank you for listening, and for everything you do to keep Minecraft growing and evolving.
Warm regards,
Eric
