Every Minecraft Advancement earned in-game on Android should automatically unlock a corresponding Google Play achievement.
This would create a seamless connection between Minecraft’s internal progression system and the broader Google Play Games ecosystem, giving players more incentive to explore, build, and survive.
Why it matters:
- Adds extra motivation for players to complete all advancements, especially the more obscure or challenging ones.
- Encourages replayability.
- Integrates Minecraft more fully into the Google Play Games experience, making it feel like a native part of the Android playing expierence
- Allows players to show off their progress via their Google Play profile.
Implementation Ideas:
- Each advancement could be mapped to a unique Google Play achievement with its own icon and XP reward.
- Rare or difficult advancements (like “How Did We Get Here?”) could offer higher XP or even special badges.
- Achievements could be retrospectively unlocked for players who’ve already completed advancements.
