Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Likewise, shouldn't the clock use 4 gold nuggets instead of ingots?

I totally agree. Plus, you need to find a redstone for the compass, which is difficult to get at the beginning of the game. Since making lodestone cheaper, I've started using it more often to return to my house, which is very convenient, but crafting a compass to use lodestone can be a problem. Redstone can be bought from a villager, but the amount of iron ingots needed to craft one compass must be reduced.
Maybe it will take not 4, but 8 of nuggets (around one redstone), but it will still take only 1 iron ingot, and it will also make nuggets more useful, since they are used in crafting only chains and lanterns, I think?
