animal cages for trasporting smaller of animals

what if we could however transport any small animal in cage, block working similarly to bee hive for their storage, only small land animals could be transported in cages (so no fish or horses), chickens and rabbits could be put in cages adult or young, some bigger animals like pigs only before they grow up, and some animals would be too big in any case, like cows or sniffers, exception is frog who could be put in cage only as adult because tadpoles cant but frog is still small
cage could be crafted of bamboo, but that would be too easy to acquire, maybe on top of it some other material, like strings, slimeball, haybale, unsure what is best recipe
to get animal in, you would need it to touch block and it would enter it simialrly as bees do on their own, but animals would try to get away from cages so using leads, minecarts/boats or redstone contraptions to force them in would be necesary, they could avoid cages similarly as some mobs avoid soul fire so cages wouldnt randomly collect animals without some setup
only one mob fits in, whatever it be bee or baby rabbit
breaking with any tool or hand would keep animal in, and mob could be caried in inventory inside block like bee hives can carry bees, releasing mobs could break cage to further limit its use to not be excesive and used wisely
as this, it would not invalidate current transporting methods fully, and also give some mobs benefits they seem to be lacking, and ease transport of some specific mobs players would likely need to
