In real life, jungles are some of the most diverse habitats on the planet, but in Minecraft, they are one of the most useless and boring. Let's fix that. There should be 4 variants: Classic, Wild, Exotic, and Strange, which are based on the Amazon, Congo, Southeast Asian, and Australian rainforests, respectively. Jungles would have daily thunderstorms. Let's go over the Classic Jungle. The canopy would be 30 blocks above the ground, made of Cacao (replacing the usual jungle tree), Papaya, Acai, Guava, Mahogany, trees with strong, valuable wood, and Rubber Trees, which could be tapped for Rubber to make bouncy blocks. Two types of trees would poke out the top, being 45 blocks tall: the Jungle Nut (based of the Brazil Nut) and the Kapok, which has large buttress roots. These trees cannot be replanted, making them important to preserve. Vine-like structures called Lianas would stretch horizontally, connecting the trees. The tops of the trees would be covered with orchids, bromeliads, passionfruit vines, and ferns. Flowers such as birds-of-paradise, anthurium, ginger, and ferns would coat the ground. The ground is full of dangerous animals like jaguars, snakes, and boars, but most terrifying of all: the capybara. The rivers would have catfish and a huge variant of the lily, the giant Lilypad, being 3 blocks across. Drop your ideas in the comments for more ideas, especially about the other types of jungles!
