Minecraft has a huge lack of progression problem but i think before or if ever mojang wants to expand upon it then the game needs to be a little harder something i think that would work and fit in to already existing systems is when you enter the nether for the first time mobs (excluding bosses) that spawn after the fact get a buff of say like 10 hearts or so and do more damage as well as have a higher chance of spawning with armor but also drop more xp. that way youre more inclined to get netherite and fully enchant your gear same thing could happen when you enter the end for the first time with an additional health and damage buff. you could even add a toggle in world settings wether you want progression scaling on or off. going back to that setting if you have it on from the get go then nether enemies start off with the increased health and damage buff when you first enter the nether. i know this is seperate to the main idea but also adding more enemies to the overworld that naturally spawn after you enter the nether for the first time would make the game more challenging like a variant of zombies and skeletons that are fire related, it would be cool to see this cause it would make it seem like things are coming through from the dimension you just opened up.
