The Minecraft Enchanting System

Minecraft enchantments should be harder to get. And easier. Let me explain. Currently, the best way to get maxxed out gear is to reroll villagers for hours, or just gamble with an enchanting table. This takes so long, is incredibly boring, and all it proves is that you sat at a villager holding left and right click. Instead, it should cost items. For example, getting fire aspect I on your sword would require you to add some blaze rods in an enchanting table, and paying a couple levels. And then maybe some magma cream for fire aspect II. This would make getting god armor a fun challenge, and it would prove that you are a good player. Yes, it would be slightly harder for new players, but most new players don't know they can reset villager for enchantments anyway, so it would be good for everyone.

    I think it would be better if getting enchantments from villagers was nerffed and the enchanting table was better, like letting you choose between more enchantments or more levels and with less xp, or even having a way to make books have more enchantability.
