Warning that updates might destroy your world!

Everything me and my family have built in our world is in or around frozen water. These are all explored areas, that we have been in for ages and ages. 

1.21.100 just ruined our world, by changing a ridiculous number or random chunks of water into stone. These were all frozen water surfaces, with nothing but water beneath them. Now there are just scatterings of entire stone chunks, stupid looking squares of stone surfaces, littered throughout the frozen ocean. 

We didn't have a backup, because of the issue that Bedrock cloud sync keeps failing, and won't let us save because we're over our 'quota' of space, despite using barely any space at all. 

Mojang should include a warning before updating a game, that the update might destroy your world.

    Whatever happened to you was probably a bug. Mojang has a guideline that no matter how updated the game gets, you should be able to play in the same world forever.
