Crafting Sand

I know there is sand in the world and you can fish for it and buy from villagers or trader, but can we have a way to craft it like how the earth makes it. since we have SOOOO much stone everywhere can't we have a way to make sand from that. Cause the natural sand is not always going to be in abundance. it be nice to have a way to make the sand, like a grinder that could grind stone or other solid things that have a powder form.
