Hello Mojang!
Note: This suggestion applies to all Bedrock platforms, not just Chromebook.
Many players have nostalgic worlds from older Minecraft Pocket Edition versions (v1.0.6 and earlier). These worlds hold early creativity, childhood memories, and unique terrain generation no longer possible today.
Currently, there's no official way to import these worlds into Bedrock Edition. Manual attempts often crash or corrupt data. Players lose access to their original builds.
An official import tool should:
Preserve the world exactly as it is.
Keep builds intact, without new chunks overwriting them.
Prevent new structures like Ancient Cities from generating.
Only difference: access to new blocks in Creative Mode.
Work without needing Realms.
Allow login with Microsoft account (optional).
Detect nearby iPads with Minecraft and list their worlds.
Enable world transfer from older iPads without the Files app.
This would preserve Minecraft’s history, reconnect longtime fans, and encourage nostalgia. Even partial support (e.g. terrain-only import) would be a big step forward.
Please consider making this part of Bedrock Edition – it would mean a lot to many players.
Best regards, Oscar
