Mace's ability to increase damage with height should be a direct effect of the density enchantment, not by the mace itself, witch means, other enchantments wont benefit from falling (except the negate fall damage on hit).
Then, make the mace's normal critical hit more powerful than currently are (its heavy, slow), and maybe tweak the breach enchantment for balance (like making it be able to disable shields and higher damage on armors).
This is to make the mace more "clean" of special features, just like the trident that can be throw away but this ability can change into "propelling" the player or be boosted with the loyalty and channeling enchantments.
