The SpaceTime anchor is a mid-lategame block which can be crafted with a clock, nether star and compass in the middle row, with crying obsidians in the top and bottom rows.
The purpose of this anchor block would be to keep the chunks loaded and going in a 3x3 chunk area of where it's located.
I think this would be a more nicer solution towards keeping a chunk loaded than the current ones (thrown ender pearl and portals).
With this block:
The clock would have a better purpose than it's current one and it could finally be used in a recipe.
The nether star could fill another role in the crafting system, which would make it more desirable by players, thus increasing the engagements against the wither boss.
The compass could have another role which would make it better as well.
The crying obsidian would have a second role to fill as well.
Extra ideas for the anchor:
-Around the anchor, one block lower, a circle of copper blocks can be built, which would slowly be oxidized one by one by the anchor and if all 8 blocks around it becomes fully oxidized, the anchor would cease to work until the copper blocks have been axed back into their original form. The anchor could oxidize even waxed copper. To keep the player updated, they could connect a clock towards the anchor, like with the lodestone, to show them the current decay progress of the anchor, when it stops working, the clock shows full night.
This is the idea I came up with, hope you guys like it!
