    Items and Tools
Copper Hammer – crafting table, stone cutter and axe do that. Bundles can hold all these except the tool where they only fit one so you can have these tables around. If the hammer had some redstone functions as well it could be considered to put in your enderchest and pull it out when needed but only for crafting copper that is a little... you get it.

Copper Shield – A shield that reflects projectiles with electricity when it reaches a certain level of oxidation. >> Could be a good idea for some kind of item to put in a slot in equipment like runes in diablo

Thunder Staff (with Copper and Amethyst) – trident does this, I would welcome some original minecraft magic thou.

Copper Spikes (for armor) – Thorns enchant does this

Copper Grenade – why gunpowder? It does not explode, it shoots lightning as said and we already have that > the trident. Maybe they could add caltrops with their own enchants for electric damage? Those would be great area denial tools against mobswarms.

Conductive Blade – Yet again trident. Maybe a copper specific enchantment that charges the coppersword while running around and for a couple of swings you deal bonus damage? This could make copper useful and then later you could upgrade it like you do diamond with ancient debris.

Yes, I agree. But there have to be alternatives otherwise we will stay the rest of the next 15 years of updates with the trident being the only one to do these functions

They need to add more weapons and playstyles anyway, some kind of Minecraft magic for example would already help. It is kinda weird that witches throw potions at you instead of turning you into a frog for a little while with a spell.

I would love to see actual spears (technically the trident is one but yeah it is a underwater weapon/fishing tool mostly), greatswords, hammers (we have a single one which is semi useful) of different sizes and some fitting enchants. Perhaps a spike-shield to hit enemies with so you can cause some effects on them.

We need more stuff to play around with in the game.

I hoenstly dont know what would be reaosn to need copper hammer unless you remove ability of axe to scrape rust from copper, it could help with accidental scraping by people using axes as weapons but that is only benefit of that unless it would do more (still there is lacking logic behind hammer doing those things compared to current ways it is done)

if you consider shield to reflect projectiles at attacker, given how easy is copper to obtain, it would be rather OP, unless balanced out by additional items acquired much later in game, copper shield could be fine as weaker/less durable version of shield, ironically only piece of gear copper could be reasonable choice over iron at least at begining, unlike all armor and tools they are adding

thunder staff could be fine, like early game trident functionality you later want to replace by trident anyway, if that would strike you and not work as magic wand casting lightnings at anything you point

spikes dont seem much desired given many people seem to even avoid thorns armor entirely, maybe gaving spikes you can place on ground made of copper would be fine, in past they rejected spikes but now we got dripstone spikes those work same

doubt grenade of any kind would be added

sword making lightning strikes into what you hit would be quite niche use, however weapon that would make some AoE kind of attack that would be like electricity arching between mobs could work, it should be however special weapon similarly to trident or mace

Okay, but as I said before, Minecraft can't focus on just having one weapon with one characteristic. It has to have several alternatives, otherwise we'll be stuck with swords, pickaxes, axes, and shovels for the next 15 years of updates. There have to be alternatives for all weapons, whether it's a trident or a mace.

Probably with a new featured lightning effects and behaviour where it doesn't set on fire/grief the world on intent.
