I personally think that right now, the mesa is beyond boring. It's just a colorful, yet niche biome. So what if there was actual content for it? Now, there are naturally generating canyons, and overhanging cliffs, making it already look better. But under these cliffs and over are forms of wildlife only found here. Meet the snake, hiding under large cliffs. Snakes have two variants, Snakes and Andacondas. Snakes are neutral mobs, that wander under cliffs. It usually hunts down rabbits, and spiders. It only attacks you if you attack it, and it gives the Poison effect. Andacondas are at the surface, wandering to find prey. When andacondas see a player, they will attack the player unprovoked. Both Snakes and Andacondas can be tamed with Raw Rabbit. Snakes and Andacondas both shed their skin, and you can use this shedded skin to make a chest plate, that will make all potion effects neutralized. If you kill an Andaconda, it has a 50 percent chance to drop its fang. You can use this fang with a stick and golden nugget to make a Andaconda Dagger. This dagger only does at most 5.5 hearts. But whenever it is used on a mob or player, it gives them a poison effect. But the snakes are prey for...VULTURES. Vultures fly around Snakes, Players, and just small animals in general. They will swoop down and attack their prey, but they only attack players if provoked. If you kill one, they drop a talon. If you attach 3 talons to a shield, you get the Spiky Shield. It damages any attackers in use.
