Found Something That Could Be a Griefing Risk

Hey, quick heads up — I noticed Minecraft Realms shows little dots near the XP bar that let you see where other players are. I think it's a new feature, but it kinda makes it easy for anyone to track others across the world.

If we’re inviting random people, it could make griefing easier since they can just follow the dots straight to us or our bases.

Ideally, this tracking should be something the host or operators can turn off — or at least control so only certain players are visible. Would be nice if there was a toggle to limit who can see who.

Just wanted to mention it in case it becomes an issue. Might be worth backing up the world or thinking about using a whitelist or a different server setup if we want more privacy. Totally your call though.

    Here are some workarounds:
    If you use Java, you can use the /attribute command on yourself to set your waypoint transmission range to 0.
    If you use Bedrock, you can disable the locatorBar game rule in world settings.

    /gamerule locatorbar false

    This command will close the server's location bar for you
