Firstly, the new Minecraft editor seems to have most of the tools I would want and expect in an editor like this. The controls and tools feel pretty intuitive as well in their use and function and seem to mirror that of the many other editors that exist, I am very happy with how this editor is coming together so far. I have two suggestions for the future, a "detail mode" and a local system structures type of mechanic. Given that the base game could fill in for the detail mode thing I'll start with what I think is more important, the ability to pull structures from other places beyond the current world edit. As it stands, a structure has to be made in the same world that is being edited and cannot be used outside of it (as far as I'm aware), structure blocks already exist in the base game so I figure having a feature in the editor that can access the structures saved by a structure block could improve the usefulness of both the structure block and the editor. Right now, I find it difficult to imagine myself using the editor seriously without such a feature.
On a far less necessary note, I think a detail mode where the player can place individual blocks more efficiently in order to get fine detailing could be great in the future. Being able to instantly erect a huge plain wall then switch to detailing a small patch of it then being able to use the repeat tool to bring that detailing to the rest of a huge wall could be a nice touch in the future.
Thank You!
