The new textures for dyes in the latest bedrock preview are a great idea for differentiating the different colors of dye, however, the current implementation isn't great. A lot of the detail of the old textures has been lost with this new iteration. For instance, the previous textures looked like they were created from different materials, and had different amounts of fineness/coarseness and grain. The newer textures lack these nuances, and instead all appear to be made of a paste like material. The old textures also had very distinct shapes, except for lime, purple, magenta, pink, and gray. These new textures attempt to fix this problem by making each shape different, but the shapes lack any definition and instead look like blobs, which does not help to differentiate them. The platform that each dye has is also quite a strange addition.
My suggestion is that instead of updating all of the dye textures, only the lime, purple, magenta, pink, and gray dyes should be updated to be given different shapes.
