Using water bottles to advance/speed up copper oxidation

Copper oxidization takes an extremely long time, making building with this otherwise versatile material a gigantic pain, worsening player experience for no good reason.
A solution to this could be to add a feature where using a water bottle on any unwaxed copper blocks could either speed up the oxidization time, or advance a stage instantly upon use. This could operate the same way waxing does, where right clicking/interacting with the copper block produces particles and consumes the item (or in this case, the water in the bottle).
