I would love to see the aquatic side of minecraft broadened. To that end I have suggestions for features for the Update. These include wetlands, marshlands, and river delta, tidal biomes, deep sea biomes, and aquifier biomes.
Wetlands and Marsh lands could diversify the current biome landscape. These may resemble the Florida Everglades. Tall grass, duckweed like plants, and new wildlife can permeate the biome. River like channels of water can weave through the biome.
Minecraft's oceans need more content, and new exciting resources. Sunken cites could be a new structure, based on the sunken ruins already in game. Dangerous and territorial creatures could inhabit the city, making it challenging to extract loot.
Deep sea trenches where no light reaches from above could be a new and terrifying experience. Gigantic creatures can lie in wait to snatch up the player. Minecraft mob vote A or a similar creature can be put here. It would be cold, and ocean thermal vents can provide warmth.
The aquifiers in caves can be boring. They should be diversified with cave life, and unique biomes axolotls can be added here, and mineral rich stone can be mined from the submerged caves.
