As the name implies, making Copper Bus Bars for Redstone, like the Bus Bars in a breaker box of a house IRL help distribute the electricity to all the different circuits in your home. I searched some time (6 plus pages) for something similar, got a lot of wiring ideas, but nothing quite as extreme as "Copper Bus Bars" I'm thinking it would take an adapter to connect the Redstone dust to the copper bus bar, but since a solid copper block would be insanely conductive, it could easily be coded to check if it's connected anywhere along the circuit to energized redstone, and act as a power source like a really long redstone block that can be turned off.
I understand that electricity IRL doesn't infinitely travel through solid copper bus bars, but there is no simulated SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) in Minecraft, so I don't expect there to be simulated energy range falloff for massive solid copper blocks. Using that much Copper IRL would have insane SWR concerns for any connected equipment, at least for anyone connecting anything technology-wise, wouldn't be too worrisome if just for connecting lights.
TL:DR, allow copper blocks (any number directly connected to each other) to be used for distribution of energy to and from redstone without any range (or exponentially increased range) limitations. Possible hookup adapter needed.
