Copper Buttons

Copper buttons would be triggered by players and projectiles. They produce a redstone signal that lasts longer if they're more weathered.

    To reintegrate this feature, copper golems could press buttons when they are unable to find chests with items or matches in order to try and open new paths to more chests.

    I thought back then copper pressure plates could work as reverse pressure plates, making signal when not pressed, copper buttons could work similarly, emitting signal when not pressed and turning off when they are, yes, you can use NOT gate (redstone torch) for it but also it requires more space and has that tiny delay and some applications for already negated buttons could exist for sure, as well as giving buttons different way of working to more justify their existence, differently oxidized buttons of course could have different lasting pressed state

    else copper buttons could also make just single pulse instead of lasting signal, however button would be pressed for while like regular button to serve as cooldown
    I think we got only limited ways to make pulses, yes, you can make pulse converted by observer, however that one cant be used every time, as it detects both, on and off change
    surely pulse button would have some use in redstone, your idea about making longer pulse more oxidized buttons are could be still present, with pristine button making single tick pulse and more and more rusty ones making longer pulses, fully rusty one maybe even having longer pulse than buttons we have now
    being at it, those pressure plates with similar properties could exist too, whatever it be one or other idea, we got other metals crafted in pressure plates too

    There is a chance. I noticed that someone else suggested allowing horses to swim in water while you ride them, in this section. Now it has been recently added to the newest snapshot, so mojang might still be listening to this section.

    Personally, my priority with copper buttons is spawn proofing copper roofs.

    Although having a more flexible duration would be cool. Stone buttons stay on for 10 redstone ticks, wooden for 15 redstone ticks, copper buttons through 4 stages could fill in 11, 12, 13, 14 redstone ticks. I'm sure that will be useful to redstoners in some way
