Suggestion – Add Black Ebony Tree

Dear Minecraft Team,

I would like to suggest the addition of a new tree type to Minecraft: the Black Ebony Tree. This tree could provide a visually distinct, dark-colored wood variant — deeper and richer than the current dark oak — giving players more options for building and decoration, especially for darker or more elegant builds.

Here are a few ideas for how the Black Ebony Tree could enhance the game:

  • Unique Aesthetic: A naturally black or very dark wood block would stand out in contrast to existing wood types, opening up new possibilities for creative architecture and design.

  • New Biome or Integration: It could be introduced as part of a new biome, or added to an existing one (like a rare jungle or savanna variant), offering more variety in world generation.

  • Gameplay Depth: The tree could have unique properties — perhaps slower to grow, but yields more logs, or drops rare saplings.

I believe that a Black Ebony Tree would be a great addition to Minecraft’s diverse ecosystem, and many players would enjoy having a naturally dark wood to work with.

    I'd really love to be able to make a gradient with Spruce, Dark Oak, and a black wood.
