Now that copper gear is here I think it would be good to change how players progress through the tiers of gear (wood -> stone -> copper…). The copper gear is cool but it isn’t a necessary step and one can still go from wood to stone to iron in about 5 minutes. I feel like there should be limitations to being able to access the next tier of material. Whether needing certain furnace to smelt or making certain ores rarer. I like the copper gear but it seems like it would be skipped more often than not. And the same with the lower tiers; we just use them to quickly get the higher tiers then never really use them again. I feel like something to slow down the progression would be nice. And maybe if everyone isn’t happy with a slow progression then it could be a toggle when creating a world (choose current progression or a new progression style).
