Bring Back the Old yearly update system

Dear Mojang team, I’m a huge fan of Minecraft and I appreciate all the hard work you put into keeping the game alive and exciting. However, I and many others in the community truly miss the old update system — where each year brought a big, themed update (like the Nether or Caves & Cliffs), and we had more involvement with biome and mob votes. The older system made updates feel more exciting and complete. Many of us also wish you’d add the losing mobs or biome updates from past votes, instead of removing them forever. It would be amazing to have bigger yearly updates again and see community votes return with more than just one winner. I hope you’ll consider bringing back that classic update format. Minecraft is already a great game, but the return of these exciting updates would make it feel truly magical again. Thank you! – A hopeful Minecraft player 💚

    Both the old and the new systems should be combined. There should be 4 game drops and 1 major update a year.

    Possibly each year could have a set 'theme'. So for example, 2026 could be Caves, and each update could expand upon caves. Or 2027 could be 'The End' which gives us more things for the End.
