Everyone loves hoppers and how useful they are for sorting our items on our base. But currently it exists a problem that all players have faced during their play times, filtering items.
Currently it exist Redstone contraptions that helps sorting our stackable items, but, what if we had a block that helped us to make our storage system easier?
I'm happy to announce the Copper Hopper.
Copper Hopper is the natural evolution of the iron hopper, using the oxidation properties of copper we can make sort system.
How would it work, the new hopper would let the user put an item (yes, even unstackable) on each of hopper slots to let that item transfer.
Each oxidation level could let the user filter 1-4 items.
Unoxidized - 4 slots
Exposed - 3 slots
Weathered - 2 slots
Oxidized -1 slot
The user needs the iron hopper to move any item since the Copper Hopper would only let the user move the selected item, even if you haven't put any item in the slot.
Advantages
New use for copper
Makes the contraptions easier
Easier to identify what hoppers are used for filtering improving accessibility
Adding a redstone output signal when an item that isn't on the filter goes through the hopper
Craft recipe
To craft the Copper Hopper the user will use 4 copper ingots around the iron hopper.
This will add a new level of redstone without making the iron hoppers useless.
