Minecraft Dungeons is fun, polished, and packed with charm — but as a long-time Minecraft player, I feel like it strays too far from what makes Minecraft... well, Minecraft. We don’t need building or mining. We don’t need full procedural world generation. What we do need is freedom like Elden Ring. Freedom to roam, to explore biomes on our own terms. Freedom to choose what to do next, not just pick from a mission list. Imagine: An open, seamless world with interconnected zones. A true exploration loop instead of a “replay this mission again” loop. Hidden paths, events, and natural encounters — not just combat arenas. Quiet moments to stand on a cliff and admire a voxel sunset from isometric view. This could be Minecraft Dungeons 2. A game where we don’t have to become Steve — but still get to live in the same magical, unpredictable world.
