Dont add "Lava Chicken" Music disc.

The "Lava Chicken" music disc in newest release candidate feels like an incredibly forced publicity or marketing stunt rather than a quality addition to the game.

I feel that the addition will age poorly and sour the already existing pool of music discs in how the dubstep chiptune style and clean vocals harshly clash with the existing music discs, and in how it is tied to another product rather than being an original song made for the game. This disc should be a Bedrock marketplace add-on instead of a vanilla base game item.

Both stylistically and contextually this is a poor fit for base game Minecraft.

    Yeah I kind of thought it should be a free bedrock addon as well

    But I do like the music disc idea though!

    I just hope they remove that AI villager voice. It's not Minecrafty at all

    Ok - with the villager voice

    1. It's not AI generated
    2. It's a classic sound in Minecraft
    3. And sorry, if you want to give feedback for that, you'll need to submit your own report.

    Aww, the Villager singing was AI? That's a real shame; it would have been brilliant if there'd been a human singer behind it.

    The villager voice in Minecraft is a classic sound and it has a 10% chance of being removed basically.

    Plus it's not ai generated. Mojang make the sound with a human voice then highly customise it using some fancy devices.

    Update - they've just released the music disc in the past few hours.

    Mojang won't really remove things like this :(

    I think it's just to make the update less monotonous. Otherwise, it will be the next 1.20.4 / 1.20.6 / 1.21.3

    Minecraft is about making your own story. It doesn't make sense to force a piece of a different story into the game, let alone in such a tacky way.

    This Music Disc breaks suspension of disbelief too; just by interacting normally with a mob, you're reminded of a product that exists entirely outside of the game.

     

    Please reconsider the addition of this feature. It's clearly controversial within the community.

    I see no point in continuing to play a game that sacrifices its integrity like this.

    I've made a new post for this under the "Blocks, Tools, and Items" category, where i've raised additional points, and where it isn't tied to Chase The Skies seeing as that update is now done. 

    Vote on that post too so Mojang can see it. It's titled "The music disc Lava Chicken does not fit Minecraft"
