Sweeping Edge is a Java-exclusive enchantment that increases the damage of sweep attacks with swords. Bedrock Edition does not currently have this feature, which creates a gap between the two versions in terms of combat depth and balance.
With new features like Trial Chambers, Dungeons, and high-mob-density areas, having crowd-control enchantments like Sweeping Edge would greatly improve PvE combat in Bedrock. Currently, sweep attacks in Bedrock only knock back mobs — they don’t do meaningful damage — making sword combat less strategic in group fights.
I suggest Mojang add Sweeping Edge to Bedrock Edition with the same behavior as Java Edition:
- It boosts the damage dealt by sweep attacks (levels I–III).
- It activates only during fully charged attacks.
- It remains exclusive to swords for balance.
This would help align combat parity between Bedrock and Java, give players better options in combat builds, and improve the experience for Survival and multiplayer players alike. Thank you for considering it!
